Spectrum Party

Free online Christmas party game

The holiday party game where one clue says it all

Spectrum Party is a team guessing game played on a dial. One player gets a card like Naughty ↔ Nice, sees a secret target, and gives a single clue. Their team has to find the exact spot. It’s free, runs in the browser, and works around the table or on a video call.

How to play in five steps

  1. 1. Start a room

Pick a nickname and press “Start a holiday game”. You get a 4-letter code to share in your group chat or on the video call.

  2. 2. Split into two teams

Everyone joins from their own phone or laptop and picks Team Coral or Team Teal. You need at least two players per team.

  3. 3. Give a clue

The psychic sees a holiday card like Naughty ↔ Nice and a hidden target on the dial, then gives one clue that points at it.

  4. 4. Turn the dial

Their team argues, drags the dial and locks it in. The other team bets whether the target is further left or right.

  5. 5. Reveal and score

The target is revealed. Closer guesses score up to 4 points. The first team to 10 wins.

Why it works for Christmas parties

Virtual office parties

Most online Christmas games for work are either a quiz with one person reading questions or a slideshow nobody controls. Here, everyone has the dial on their own screen, every round puts a different person in the spotlight, and the clues reveal how coworkers think without anyone having to perform. Put the room code in the meeting chat and you’re playing in under a minute.

Family gatherings

Grandparents and teenagers can play on the same team because there are no trivia questions to know. A good clue is just an opinion — and the best moments come when your family discovers they disagree about whether fruitcake is a dessert or a punishment.

Friendsmas and New Year’s Eve

Teams argue, the opposing team heckles, and the reveal gets a cheer or a groan every time. It fills the gap between dinner and midnight, and a game to 5 points takes about ten minutes.
